Vintage Vanguard has an extensive collection of Blue Note covers. Reid Miles, was the brilliance behind a lot of these covers. I had read somewhere he was more interested in classical music and didn’t really enjoy jazz that much. Maybe that outsider perspective is part of what makes all of these work so well.














 

The amazing Leeds Playbills website contains nearly 5,000 medium-to-high resolution scans of vibrant playbills dating from the late 1700s up through the 1990s.





 

The treasure trove of vintage photography featured on Shorpy provides endless samples of commercial sign painting and architectural lettering from the 1850s through the 1950s.

Received great news today. The direct mail piece I recently worked on will be featured in the Exhibit section of the Communication Arts September issue.
 

I went to Ralph Lauren recently while doing some clothes shopping. They had a pair of pants that I ended up purchasing mostly because the cool hang tag that came with them. Inspired to find more I did some digital mining and believe to have found gold.
